Luke and Bethany had an awards ceremony at their school last night. This is the night they receive their bible memory medal.. and their character award. This is the coolest idea at the school I think. Each year the teacher picks a Christ like quality that she has seen in that student throughout the year and presents it to them on a certificate and announces it out loud for the whole school and parents.. and everyone acknowledges. This year Luke received the character of Diligence. He had an awesome teacher who saw that Luke could be doing sooo much more than the bare minimum... and called him on it. He raised the bar and insisted LUke do better. We looked diligence up in the dictinary when we got home...done with proper care and effort... Way to go Luke! (ps. Luke got his medal too,, just not wearing it in the pic)Bethy received... Honesty... from her teacher... I am so thankful for godly teachers and others in their lives who see things that their mama misses... thanks for opening my eyes Lord! Way to go Bethany... Congrasts on finishing grade one... and grade five kiddos!
